April Prayer Points

April 28, 2014

Angie & AmaraDear Framily,

Please pray with us:

  • It has been determined by a team of 6 surgeons that Amara does not need surgery before we head back to Uganda – it can wait until she is 2 years old! As she has grown, her lung has grown, but not the malformation; thus, the malformation now makes up a much smaller percentage of the lung than it did at birth. Please praise and thank God with us for this answer to our prayers.
  • Please continue to pray with us for a TEACHER, preferably with a K-8 teaching degree, for our three oldest children – Miriam (14), Avalien (8) and Moses (7) – for the 2014/15 school year. Curriculum, housing and other costs would be provided. Plenty of opportunity would be available for involvement in other ministry work. Please spread the word and contact us at sliedrechts@hotmail.com if you or someone you know may be interested.
  • Pray with us as we work on the detailed, phased plan for the discipleship camp and retreat center, for wisdom, discernment, direction, and listening hearts. You can still cast your vote on the name here.
  • Praise God with us for the impact the Proclaimer Program is having on individuals and communities. Over 50 Bible Listening Groups have been put in place and are being used in churches, communities, schools, Soroti prison, the street kids ministry, markets, hospitals! Many are hearing the Gospel message for the first time, coming to Christ, and being encouraged and strengthened in their faith. Please continue to pray for the Proclaimer Program that
    • the current Bible Listening Groups will not give up in meeting together regularly, consistently and continuously, and that our team may be faithful in encouraging them to do so
    • the Word of God, by the power of the Spirit, may continue to move from the members’ heads to their hearts to their hands
    • we may be able to get more Proclaimers and establish more Bible Listening Groups
