Please pray for Amara. Due to distressed breathing, she was taken to the newborn intensive care unit 20hrs after birth. After a series of tests, it has been determined that she has either Congenital Lobar Emphysema or Congenital Cystic Adenomatoid Malformation in the top two-thirds of her right lung. Either way, she will most likely need surgery to remove the malformed portion of the lung. However, as the surgery is somewhat risky and Amara has since shown signs of improvement, they would prefer to delay the surgery until she has passed the "newborn" stage and is stronger, 3-6 months from now. The doctor said that could only happen if she is totally weaned off oxygen and is breast-feeding, and can thus go home. Well, God is answering our prayers! Her oxygen and feeding tubes have just been removed and Lord willing, her IV will be taken out tonight. As long as she remains stable, she can come home 48hrs later, on Friday. Still, we ask that you continue to pray for her. Please also pray for our children as it has been quite difficult for them.

We’ve been praying – our Great Creator God hears! Thankful for the progress she’s made.
